Crystal Cleansing Rituals: Smudging and Selenite  

Charging and cleansing your crystals from any prior energy is essential. Every shift exposes your stones to energies that are likely not to be aligned with your own.  

When you use your crystals for healing purposes, the stones absorb and redirect the negativity that you release. It is best to assist your crystals in restoring their natural state, and you can do this with cleansing rituals.

WHITE SAGE OR PALO SANTO  

Sage and Palo Santo are very different when it comes to cleansing your crystals. Sage moves energy out, and Palo Santo carries energy in. Using Sage is best if you are cleansing your crystals, and Palo Santo is best when wanting to charge and program your crystals. 

When smudging with Sage, complete outdoors or close to an open window, this will allow the negative energies to disperse.  

Ignite the tip of the sage with a flame and move your stone through the smoke. Allow each stone to be covered in smoke for about 30 seconds. 

SELENITE  

Selenite is the ultimate crystal to cleanse your other crystals, particularly selenite charging bowls. One of Selenites best properties is that it purifies and amplifies the energy of other crystals, magnifying and cleansing the energy of anything that is placed upon it. 

Selenite does not need to be cleansed, and it transmuted negative energy naturally. Place your crystals on the selenite for a few hours or use them daily for continuous cleansing.
